This September 22nd, First Presbyterian Church (FPC) will be celebrating pets with a Blessing of the Animals worship service. Pastor Doug and the FPC congregants are excited to invite friends, neighbors, and community members to this special event. Attendees are encouraged to bring pets of all types, including stuffed animals, to worship at 10:30 a.m. outside on the church lawn. A special blessing for our furry, feathered, and scaly guests of honor will be shared during the service. All pets must be properly restrained on a leash or in a carrier. Does Fluffy not travel well in a kitty carrier? Does Fido not like other dogs? Is Goldie a fish? Not to worry! Join the party with a pet photo for a remote blessing. Those without animals are also welcome to share in the outdoor worship service and appreciate the animals in the beautiful September weather. In case of rain, the worship service will be held in the sanctuary without live pets – stuff animals, pet photos, and visitors are still welcome to be blessed. Come – Sit – Stay!
