Dinner for Eight is a social gathering of approximately 8 people (sometimes 6 or 10) from the congregation. These mini-dinner parties are an opportunity to get to know new congregants and to stay connected with friends outside of the church environment. The dinners take place on or around the second Saturday of January (1/12), February (2/9) and March (3/9). One person or a couple hosts, providing the main dish while other attendees bring appetizers, side dishes and dessert to complete the meal. Meeting at a local restaurant is also an option and participants pay individually. Some groups are specifically children-friendly so a group might consist of 6 adults and 4 children. Sign-ups were completed in December and groups were organized with the goal of participants meeting with different people each month. Alternates and those willing to sub for last-minute cancellations help to round out the arrangements. Questions?
