Elders
An elder is a spiritually mature church member elected by the congregation to help lead, guide, and care for the church. Elders serve on the Session with the pastor and help discern God’s will for the congregation. They are ordained for life but serve active terms—typically three years—when installed on Session and may be called again to active service in the future. Broad responsibilities include:
- Spiritual Leadership and Discernment
- Oversight of Worship, Mission, and Church Life
- Committee Leadership and Participation
